Healthier eating habits often start with what i's available nearby. This report brings together six practical ways in which cities can reshape everyday spaces – from market plazas and transit hubs to mobile markets, corner stores, community farms, and community kitchens – in order to make fresh, healthy food easier to find, afford and enjoy. Drawing on real examples from Cuenca to Copenhagen, each intervention includes guidance on cost, reach and impact, along with the steps needed to bring it to life.
