Physical activity

OUR FOCUS AREAS

Physical activity

Making movement part of daily life

Physical activity is not built equally into every neighbourhood. Busy roads, unsafe streets and limited public space can make it harder to integrate physical activity into everyday routines, especially for children and underserved communities.1

From active school environments and safer cycling routes to parks, playgrounds and local initiatives, we support the small, practical changes that turn a street, schoolyard or public square into a place where movement happens every day.2

We work with partners to create spaces where movement feels safer, more accessible and part of community life.
